• Annual 10-Year Load and Resource Forecast
  Sourced from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and the Energy Information Administration (EIA), this report provides projected energy and peak demand reported on a summer and winter basis including forecast capacity.
• Annual CEMS Unit Profile Summary
  This dataset includes basic summary information on plants and units that report the EPA CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System) data. This data includes the reported max capacities for the units, the minimum operating threshold, the program under which the units file, the number of hours it was operating and which fuel it was burning for those hours, the maximum heat input, and the average annual heat rate. This data is reported at the unit level.
• Annual Company Operating Statistics
  This dataset reports annual company-level statistics covering power, natural gas and coal market verticals. Items include financials, business overviews, energy balance, operation and maintenance costs, and other important operational statistics.
• Annual Plant Cost (by Operator or Owner)
  This dataset reports annual power plant production costs, generation, capacity and heat rates from regulatory filings to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), US DOE Energy Information Administration, and the USDA Rural Utilities Service.
• Annual Unit Statistics
  This integrated unit level dataset is derived from the EPA Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Data and contains integrated information including (but not limited to) annual unit-level electrical output, heat input, emissions, heat rate, generation and fuel cost estimates.
• EIA Monthly Plant Generation & Consumption
  This dataset contains monthly generation and fuel consumption at the Plant Prime Mover level. This data is sourced from the EIA.
• Environmental Controls
  This report contains detailed unit level information about environmental technologies installed or planned for managing Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxide (NOx), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Particulate Matter (PART). In addition to the basic unit level operating details, the environmental details include specific technology type, primary or secondary designation, install or planned install date, retire date, cost (where available), and status.
• EPA Annual Plant Emissions Allowances
  This report includes annual allowance allocations and uses for NOx and SO2 as reported by the EPA in the annual OTC NOx Budget Compliance Program report and the Acid Rain compliance report.
• Generating Unit Inventory
  Generating unit inventory identifies each of the existing and planned generating units at a plant, the percentage ownership, operating status and some basic metrics on the unit including location, size, and fuel type. Data is updated each week.
• Generation Supply Curve (Forward-looking)
  This dataset provides a forward look at the production costs for all operating units in the US. Data items include variable and fixed production costs, fuel costs, heat rate, and emission rates. This is an ideal dataset for evaluating the future cost of power and creation of supply curves. Sources included FERC, EIA, EPA CEMS, Platts Gas Daily, Platts Coal Outlook and Platts Oil prices. A description is available for each field specifying the source of the data on an individual basis.
• Generation Supply Curve (Historic)
  This dataset provides an historical look at actual and modeled production costs and key operating statistics for all operating units in the US. Data items include variable and fixed production costs, fuel costs, generation, heat rate, heat input, emission rates and emission allowance prices. This is an ideal dataset for evaluating the historical cost of power and creation of supply curves. Sources included FERC, EIA, EPA CEMS, Platts Gas Daily, Platts Coal Outlook and Platts Oil prices. A description is available for each field specifying the source of the data on an individual basis.
• Hourly Planning Area Demand
  Hourly loads are available at a planning area level through the FERC. A planning area is defined as: the electric system wherein an electric utility is responsible for the forecasting of system demands and has the obligation to provide the resources to serve those demands. The load is the amount of electrical power delivered or required at any specified point or points on a system.
• Hourly Unit Operations
  Hourly Generating Unit Data contains generating unit operating and cost information. Information includes unit-level electrical output, heat input, emissions, and fuel cost estimates. This dataset covers fossil-fuel fired generating units that are affected by the Clean Air Act Amendments (via quarterly CEMS filing).
• Mergers and Acquisitions - Plants
  Mergers and Acquisitions tracks the pending, completed, and cancelled power plant sales announced since 2000. This data is collected from multiple sources including news releases, web site searches and contacts within the industry. Data items collected include asset seller, purchaser, unit size, location, and, in some cases, the total financial value of the units involved in the transaction.
• Monthly Unit Statistics
  Information includes monthly unit-level electrical output, heat input, emissions, heat rate, generation, and fuel cost estimates. This integrated unit level data set is derived from the quarterly EPA Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Data
• NERC Monthly Demand Forecast - NERC/Subregion
  The monthly loads include one year of historic detail and a forecast for the subsequent two years, exactly as reported in the EIA.
• New Generation Facility Inventory
  This data contains new generation facility statistics grouped by development phase and ownership. It includes detailed information on all potential merchant plants, independent power projects, utility-built capacity additions and re-rates of existing capacity. The data is updated weekly.
• New Generation Development Notes
  New Generation Development Notes contains the detailed development notes on each facility in the New Generation Facility Inventory. These detailed notes contain updates on various aspects of the project from local opposition; permits applied, issued or denied; changes in ownership, financing details, power sales or fuel procurement contracts, land and infrastructure acquisitions, as well as construction and development plan timelines. This dataset should be purchased with New Generation Facility Inventory for a complete look at North American power plant development. This data is updated weekly.
• NRC Daily Nuclear Status Report
  Nuclear outage and operations data from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) power reactor status report. New data is available every day.
• Power Purchase Agreements
  This dataset contains details on the buyer and seller companies that are involved in the transaction, the amount of capacity, start and end dates and where available the demand and/or energy charges associated with the contract. Where specified the plant providing the power is identified.
• Renewable Portfolio Standard by State
  This state-by-state listing covers renewable portfolio standards and state mandates.
• Request for Proposal (RFP) Dataset
  The RFP dataset was created to keep a record of requests for proposals issued by utilities, as well as other entities seeking power. The table was designed to keep track of a variety of information released in various RFPs. Much of the information provided in the RFP can fit into standardized categories (important dates, amount of power requested, type of power requested, etc.), but often there is nonstandard data which goes into the Comments column. This data is updated weekly.
• TRI Annual Mercury Emissions by Plant
  Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) data is available from the EPA. This is plant level emissions of mercury and mercury compounds for facilities with a SIC code of 4911, 4931, and 4939. These SIC codes include electric and other services and combination utilities that combust coal and/or oil for the purpose of generating electricity for distribution in commerce.
